Chanta began stripping in 1996 in Melbourne, Australia at "The
Men’s Gallery" and "Santa Fe Gold" while studying economics
at Monash University. Deciding that economics was boring she embarked
on a world tour funded by dancing naked everywhere she could; from Mexico
to Montreal to Croatia. It was on this trip she fell in love with the
UK. Despite an early interest in bondage, it wasn’t until January 2001 that Chanta first posed for a bondage shoot in New York for Insex as "15", during which she discovered the joys of being bound. Having moved to San Francisco, California to further pursue her bondage career, she modeled for several sites and began a bondage fetish site of her own, Bondage Pussycat in 2002. As a bondage model, Chanta learned, from passive experience, much of the proper techniques of rope work and became proficient in Western, Japanese and suspension bondage. As such, she featured in several bondage fetish/BDSM sites not only as a rigger but also as a model, both in dominant and submissive roles in pleasure and torture oriented shoots alike. In 2005 Chanta began teaching bondage classes to groups, couples and individuals, which she still does, according to her website, Bondage Expert (May 2006), as well as writing a book on Bondage for Sex, along with a sequel expected in late 2007. Also in 2005 she began hosting several bondage photography workshops. During this time she worked as a media editor for other bondage sites. In 2006 she began shooting for ChantasBitches.com, another bondage/BDSM
site of her own, featuring her in dominant roles in a variety of SM
settings, ranging from casual to fetish. In February that year AgentSM,
an online bondage supplies store, launched. Chanta Rose is a partner
in it, in addition to designing some of their products and doing the
